Aether Forge — AI RPG World Generator

Aether Forge is a one-button browser RPG where a single click breathes life into an entire fantasy world. Press Generate and the game conjures a unique realm — its biomes, weather, landmarks, and lore — then populates it with a hero and a cast of autonomous characters who live, wander, fight, and tell their own stories.

How it plays

The whole game runs through a single button. The first press creates the world. The next press summons the hero. Every press after that expands the realm with new NPCs and atmospheric events. There are no menus to learn and no controls to memorize — you simply keep generating and watch the world grow.

A living world

Once characters exist, they think for themselves. They roam the map on a smooth canvas-rendered overworld, encounter one another, exchange blows or banter, pick up loot, and react to the weather drifting overhead. A scrolling event log narrates the world in atmospheric snippets — a duel by the river, a merchant lost in fog, a hero resting beneath the moons.

Talk to your characters

You can click any character on the map and give them an order in plain English: "attack the bandit," "go to the old tower," "pick up the rusty sword," "follow the hero," "stop." The game's AI translates your words into a structured action the character actually carries out, and replies with a short in-character bark. If a command is impossible, the character refuses rather than pretending to obey.

AI-powered, but never broken

Aether Forge uses Scaleway's generative models for world descriptions, character personalities, and command interpretation, plus AI-generated portraits and map art. When no AI key is present — or when a request fails — the game seamlessly falls back to a rich procedural generator, so it always works, always feels alive, and never leaves you staring at a blank screen.
